Gaming as a life style

Up until now, in all of our articles we described the improved and completely new things that were included into Windows 7 beta. Having the compatibility with Windows 7 in mind, we addressed numerous needs of the users; needs concerning a stable and secure system for offline and online work, the entertaining section as well as the needs of the users concerning programs crucial to their work. Today, we’ll address the needs of those that instantly react when the word “gamer” is mentioned, as well as those less hard-core users that enjoy playing a small, entertaining game once in a while. That’s right; we’ll be discussing the compatibility of games developed by companies other than Microsoft.

Good news, serious gamers! – Before, when describing some of the improvements and new features, we scratched the surface of complex graphics integration, videos with high resolutions and many other multimedia elements that were included in Windows 7. These are the most interesting new features (besides the gameplay and logic) that have been introduced in the latest games. The majority of the most popular games have been installed with no hassle, and we were able to play them with the video options on the highest level. Also we were able to notice that some of the games ran a lot faster than in any previous versions of Windows; some were faster up to 25%. Thus, rest assured that the following titles, and some of the other equally entertaining ones, are fully compatible in Windows 7: Medieval Total War 2, GTA IV, COD 4 и 5, Prince of Persia, F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin, Assassin’s Creed, Red Alert 3, Battlefield 2, FIFA 08 and 09. There’s no need to discuss these games any further. Their reputations speak highly enough about that.

For those who’d want to get rid of the boredom – There’s a group of people that would like to play less demanding games from time to time, purely for entertaining reasons. We have good news for them too. Besides the games that were included with the installation of Windows 7 (and we talked about them in one of the previous articles) a lot of games have appeared on the market. All of these games are compatible with Windows and some of them are even free. Here are some of the games:

- Little Fighter  – is a very interesting game with a simple design but utterly addictive gameplay that will have you enthralled in from of your computer for many hours. You play as a little human figure that fights everything that comes to his attention. The possibility for four people to play this game at the same time and with one of the four different characters is a really cool feature.

- DayDown 1.5c – This adventure is aimed at gamers that enjoy moving around in the medieval world, slaying monsters and different enemies while, at the same time, solving mysteries and exploring unknown grounds.

- GRID – is the ultra popular racing simulation that will take you across three continents and allow you to prove your racing skill with one of the meanest, racing machines. Oh, and did we mention that it runs perfectly on Windows 7?

News that great deal of games gave been tested in Windows 7 and run flawlessly spread from across the world. Also, a lot of new games have been released with predefined support for this OS. This is why, all you gamers can continue sleeping peacefully. Once again, Microsoft thought about you.
